Zycosan® (pentosan polysulfate sodium injection) 250 mg/ml is indicated for the control of clinical signs associated with osteoarthritis in horses.

  • First FDA-approved pentosan polysulfate to the market
  • For intramuscular use in horses in only
  • Does not contain a preservative
  • Administer 3 mg/kg (1.4 mg/lb) by intramuscular injection once weekly for four weeks (a total of four doses over 28 days)
  • Unused portions should be discarded
