Rapidly absorbed, synthetic, braided suture
Initial strength comparable to nylon and gut
Elicits lower tissue reaction than chromic gut

Superficial closure of mucosa, good for gingival and periocular skin closure
Skin closure for patients not returning (if not, wound tension after 7-10 days is acceptable)
