Each option includes a thorough inspection, replacing components as needed, followed by calibration on our state-of-the-art laser refractometer in our climate-controlled facility. With any service, a vaporizer service and calibration report is provided for your records.

7 signs you need vaporizer service

  1. The service-due sticker on the side of the vaporizer says it is past the due date. If the sticker is missing or is too faded to read, contact your Patterson rep. 
  2. Patients are staying just lightly anesthetized or having difficulty staying sedated.  
  3. Patients are too deeply anesthetized.  
  4. You can smell or see the agent leaking from the vaporizer. 
  5. State mandates indicate service is required within a specific timeframe and there is a possibility you’ve exceeded that period.  
  6. Your vaporizer has been out of use for a year. 
  7. The manufacturer’s recommended service interval (typically one year but often two years for Patterson-branded equipment) has been exceeded. If you are unsure of this timeframe, contact your Patterson rep.
