“I like to send [the AI report] as a little take-home sheet…. [Clients] have that second opinion, as opposed to sending it to a radiologist and charging a stat fee.”

"AI is accurate and very helpful in guiding further diagnostic treatment."

Dr. Childs,  AVG UrgentVet Raliegh

“I get an actual report from the artificial intelligence and it’s very professional and tidy and clean. I edit that to my convenience and there you go. It’s in the medical notes.”

Dr. Soto, AVG English Plaza

“I love technology for utilitarian purposes. I’m a huge fan of things that make my life easier.”

Dr. Julie Breher

Why AI?

Seth Wallack, DVM, DACVR and CEO of Vetology, developed the artificial intelligence engine that fuels the quick-turn AI reports. Seeing the decrease in the number of radiologists and the increase in the need for radiology, he decided to take action. Knowing AI has been used in human medicine for a while, he created AI for the veterinary industry, making treatment faster, improving the lives of patients and making the work of veterinary medicine easier.

Vetology AI reports have a 92% agreement rate with board-certified radiologist overreads. Independent studies confirm the data as well.

Wallack uses a scale of agreement vs. accuracy. Because we as humans cannot be 100% accurate, we cannot hold AI to that standard. However, we can report the following agreement data.

Two recent studies reveal interesting information about AI radiology vs. human radiology. Published by the American College of Veterinary Radiology, the two studies are quite different from one another but come to the same conclusion: These artificial intelligence reports are highly reliable and can be more accurate than human radiologists.
