Jorgensen Femoral Head Disarticulator

Overview This Femoral Head Disarticulator is designed to disarticulate the head of the femur from the acetabulum.

• Particularly useful in cases of femoral neck fracture and femoral head excision, where manipulation of the femur is difficult
• Curved blade slides around and between the head of the femur and acetabulum
• Sharpened notch at the tip locates and cuts through the round ligament
• The femoral head now can be elevated by the disarticulator and removed
• Use to engage and sever the round ligament during total head and neck excision
