Overview
  • Indicated for superficial closure of mucosa
  • Rapidly absorbed, synthetic, braided suture
  • Initial strength comparable to nylon and gut
  • Elicits lower tissue reaction than chromic gut
  • Suture begins to fall off in just 7 to 10 days as wound heals
  • Superficial closure of mucosa, good for gingival and periocular skin closure
  • Skin closure for patients not returning (if not wound tension after 7-10 days is acceptable)
